The Dark Side of Sleep: The Effect Neglecting Sleep and Insomnia has on College Students
In this poster, we explore the impact of neglecting sleep and experiencing insomnia on college students. Neglecting sleep and struggling with insomnia are common issues among college students, which can negatively affect their overall well-being and academic performance. It is found that more than half of the college students do not get the recommended amount of sleep. Through research papers and previous work in PE 100, I have gathered data on the struggles and experiences of college students with sleep deprivation and insomnia. This information will reveal the perspectives and highlight the difficulties students face in balancing their academic commitments with sufficient sleep. By addressing sleep deprivation and insomnia, I want to raise awareness about the importance of sleep for college students' well-being and success. This way college students will have the necessary information and support which can lead toward enhancing their overall health and academic experience.
