If you already have an account and know how to place an Interlibrary Loan request, click on the following link to connect directly to WorldCat

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a FREE service for all Highline students and employees. ILL allows you to request books, articles, and more from other libraries when Highline College doesn't own them.

How to place an ILL request:

  1. If you are placing an ILL request for the first time, begin by creating an account using our ILL service, WorldCat*. For instructions, click on the Create an Account tab.

  2. Once your request is submitted you will be notified by the Interlibrary Loan Department when it arrives. Please check the FAQs for information on turnaround times and delivery options.
  3. Off-campus students: Click the Delivery options tab to see how to get ILL material shipped to your home.
  4. If you need help with any of these, don't worry: we have instructions on each page to help you get started. You can also contact a real live reference librarian at any time by going to our Ask a Librarian page.
NOTE: As you go through these instructions, please be aware that WorldCat goes by several different names, any of which may appear on the screen you're working on. These include "Wayfinder,"  "FirstSearch," "OCLC," and "WorldCat." Don't worry - they're all the same thing!
