Course Reserves - for Faculty

Course Reserve Materials

Library, personal, or department-owned copies of legally-acquired materials may be placed on course reserve in the Library. The Library adheres strictly to current copyright law governing copying, distribution and use of such materials. Unauthorized copies of materials (books, television shows, DVDs, etc.) are not allowed.

Place Materials on Course Reserve

  1. Complete a Reserve Request Form for each item. Please include all relevant information the form. Omission of information may slow the process.
  2. Bring all faculty-owned books/DVDs to the Library 2nd Floor Circulation Desk.
  3. Or send the items via campus mail to Mailstop 25-2. Clearly label campus mail "COURSE RESERVES", so it will reach Circulation Services.

Please allow up to 3 workdays for processing of all course reserve items. You will receive email confirmation when the items are available for students.

We ask that you keep the processing time in mind when you inform students when the items will be available for checkout.

For any questions regarding course reserves, please contact Circulation Services at libcirc@highline.edu or 206-592-3234.

Please Note

  • Students must present their Highline ID card to access course reserve items.
  • Between quarters, course reserve materials are reviewed, and you will be contacted to inquire if any information or items needs to be updated.
  • The Circulation Services department reserves the right to return "indefinite" course reserve items that have not been checked out for 1 year.
