This spring, the Highline College Library presents award winning picture books from our Children's Literature Collection. Located on the 3rd floor of the library, as well as our Recommended Reading display through June, we invite you to stop by and check out a recent publication or beloved classic.
Picture books aren't just for kids! Children's literature can inspire readers of all ages and picking up a picture book is a great way to take a mental break between classes. In this guide you will find recommended podcasts, articles, and videos to educate and encourage you to fall in love with children's literature.

The Caldecott Medal was named in honor of nineteenth-century English illustrator Randolph Caldecott. It is awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children.
