How Do I Read the eBook?

eBook Viewer

eBooks can be read online in the eBook Viewer by clicking the PDF Full Text or EPUB Full Text link on the Result List or Detailed Record.

This is what the page will look like when you have clicked on PDF Full Text or EPUB Full Text:

Navigating the Book:

  • Page Navigation: Use the arrows to turn one page at a time or click on the section or chapter in the table of contents on the left.

  • Zoom Out: Click the - icon to zoom out on the page.

  • Zoom In: Click the + icon to zoom in on the page.

Searching and Taking Notes

To search within the book:


1. At the top of the book page you will see a tab titled "Search within"

2. You will see a box labeled "Search This eBook." Type in the words or phrases you are looking for and click the magnifying glass icon

Search results will show the page number and preview. Clicking on a result will take you to the corresponding page. 

 

Taking Notes in EBSCO eBooks

The Notetaking feature allows you to take notes on eBooks and save them for later viewing. You will need to be signed in to your EBSCOhost account in order to take notes.

1. Click the My Notes tab at the top of the page

2. To add a new note, click New Note

 

Notes can be viewed by date (the date the note was taken), or by page number (the page you were reading when the note was added).
