How to Evaluate Information Mindfully

  • Paying Attention on Purpose: Sharpening Your Attention
    • Research indicates that paying attention to new information with intention may help us to better remember and process new information.
  • Being Present in the Present Moment: Mindful Moments or Movements
    • Mindfulness can help to relax our nervous system and heart rate. Calming our bodies can help us make more informed choices about new information.
  • Being Non-judgmental: Laying the Ground for Learning
    • Recognizing the pros and cons of the world around us - without trying to decide if it’s good or bad - can help us to use information more thoughtfully when we’re studying or on social media.
