Cappex requires you to create an account to access information, and doing so is probably worth your time and effort. Cappex is neat because it allows you to “easily compare colleges, read detailed reviews by students on campus, find available scholarships...even see your chances of getting into your favorite colleges.” You can also “organize the colleges you like based on what matters to you compare schools side by side and track application deadlines.” Later in Honors 100, you’ll use Cappex when searching for scholarships and writing your scholarship essay.
College Board: BigFuture
Like Cappex, College Board requires you to create an account to access their information. I’m sure you have ALL heard about College Board if you’ve taken any standardized test (SAT, ACT, AP, TOEFL, and so forth). Well, College Board also offers this research on choosing a transfer institution. If you’re still exploring which colleges and universities to apply to, I suggest using this tool. It’s has a great tool that will quickly find schools that fit your academic and personal interests and needs.
College Navigator is a wonderful resource for comparing colleges and universities based on specific criteria, such as costs, majors offered, size of school, campus safety, and graduation rates. The Highline Transfer Center recommends using College Navigator, especially if you’re research schools in different states and countries.
Highline College Transfer Center
The Transfer Center "provides you with the tools you need in order to make informed choices pertaining to your transfer… If you are a Highline student who is planning to transfer anytime in the future, we can help.”
