"In a racist society it is not enough to be non-racist, we must be anti-racist." -- Angela Y. Davis

This guide recognizes and gratefully appreciates the ongoing work done by anti-racism activists and librarians, including Highline College Reference Librarian Samantha Sermeno, the Seattle Public Library, and Dr. Nicole A. Cooke. This guide draws upon their work and provides credit wherever possible.

Highline College Librarians have also developed resource guides for Self-Care and Racial Trauma, as well as on Trauma-Informed Practices.
