The Highline Library is a selective and virtual Federal Depository Library, which means the library provides online access to publications from agencies within the United States Federal Government.  These online publications, which may include books, maps, posters, pamphlets, and periodicals, contain information on careers, business opportunities, health, research, and many other subjects.

Documents Available Online

In moving to a virtual depository library, Highline no longer collects print documents.  Any search for government publications can begin with One Search (scope: Library Catalog), where you can search for government publications by title, author, subject, SuDoc number, or using keywords.

Another more complete option is to use the Federal Digital System, a service of the U.S. Government Printing Office that provides free electronic access to a wealth of important information products produced by the Federal Government.  Use Federal Digital System to search or browse official, full-text information from the three branches of the Federal Government. Databases are updated based on their print equivalent and generally date back to 1994.
