Recommended Reading: January

Highline College's librarians recommend materials from the library collection on a wide variety of topics.

About This Gulde

January's recommended reading is all about mental health and wellness. As the winter sets in and gray skies can trigger the winter blues, it is a good time to engage with caring for our minds. Stress, trauma, mental illness, and oppression all play roles in our well-being. It can be difficult to talk about our mental health due to stigma, but these resources will help inform you about different aspects of mental illness, help you reflect on your own needs, and find stories to comfort an entertain this winter.
