Checkout

Print library materials, and Media items such as videos, compact discs, and audio tapes may be checked out at the Plaza Circulation counter.  Renewals may be requested in person, over the telephone, or from the online library catalog and choosing the "view your patron account" option.

Materials Unavailable for Checkout

Reference materials, most Reserve items and most items in the Legal Room are unavailable for use outside the library. You may use them within the library.

Can't Find It?

If you look up materials in the catalog that show as being "Available" but cannot find them, come to the Circulation counter and ask for assistance.  If something is checked out, you can put a hold on it and we will notify you when it comes in.

Overdue Materials

If you receive a courtesy or overdue notice for a library item, please return or renew it. If you are sure that the item has been returned, or you have lost library materials, please call or come in to the Library.

There are no fines for overdue materials. However, if any items are not returned, you will receive a bill for replacement costs and processing fees for each overdue item.

Lost Materials and Charges

If you do not renew or return materials, we will assume the materials are lost.  If you return the items you will not be charged any fees or fines.  If you do not return the items you will be charged a non-refundable $20.00 per item processing fee as well as the cost of replacing the materials.  Unresolved library charges may affect your ability to register for future classes.  If, after paying your fees, you find the items at a later date, the replacement charge can be refunded, but not the $20.00 processing fee.
