University of Washington Library

University of Washington Libraries - a collection of 14 different libraries - are, according to their website, "the premier research library in the Pacific Northwest." Though the primary clientele of the UW Libraries are current UW students, staff and faculty, most of their research collections and tools are available for your use on campus. They also provide a limited number of workstations where visitors can access their extensive collection of research databases.

What if I'm not a UW student?

Unless you are affiliated with the University of Washington, you are not automatically eligible for a UW library card. However, there are several groups of people who may get free library cards including Washington State teachers and certified school personnel, federal and state governmental employees, and several other groups.

If you don't qualify for a free UW library card, it is also possible to get one for a non-refundable fee of $100.00 per year or $30.00 for three months.
